Miles L. Hamrick, Sr. MAI, AI-GRS

Miles is an MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute, with the additional General Review Specialist distinction. He focuses on commercial and income producing properties. He has performed valuation, litigation, review, and consulting services for over 30 years in the North and South Carolina real estate markets. Throughout his career, he has assisted thousands of clients navigate the appraisal process to solve their individual valuation questions and needs. He has trained new appraisers and provided instruction to brokers, trainees, and certified appraisers. He currently holds a teaching position with Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC and was contracted with BrightPath Education in Raleigh, NC to design and teach in-person continuing education classes that were approved by the North Carolina Appraisal Board. 

His affiliation with the Appraisal Institute (AI) has exposed him to many high-level appraisal education opportunities and professionals across the United States and several foreign countries. With these organizations and relationships, He has furthered his education in the real estate appraisal field and received the MAI and AI-GRS (review) designations from the Appraisal Institute. In addition to educational opportunities, He has participated in many volunteer roles, including AI national and local appraisal scholarship committees, regional and local directorships, and the National AI Professional Standards and Guidance Committee. 

Miles has also served on the Gaston County, NC Equalization and Review Board: Appointed by the Gaston County, NC Commissioners as Chairperson of the Gaston County Tax – Equalization and Review Board to hear and rule on tax appeals. Appointment to Board 2013, Chairperson 01/2016 to 12/2019.

His hobbies include Scuba Diving, Motorcycle Racing, Weight Lifting, Gold Panning, and Gardening.
